One World Shop

Glasgow’s One World Shop is in the exciting West End, close to the University of Glasgow and surrounded by other independent and alternative shops. We are located between the Botanical Gardens (corner of Byres and Great Western Road) and Kelvin Bridge Underground.

The One World Shop Glasgow first opened on Byres in September 2002. It has since relocated in November 2009 to 649 Great Western Road, just a few minutes from the old shop.

At the One World Shop we endeavour to provide Fair Trade to Glasgow’s residents and visitors, and enjoy working with local schools to assist in heightening the awareness of fair trade issues.

UNDERGROUND
From Hillhead Underground walk right along Byres Rd, turn right at Great Western Road, and walk towards Kelvin Bridge. The shop will be located on your right after you pass Cecil Street. Walking time: 8 minutes. Distance: 0.4 miles
From Kelvin Bridge Underground walk away from the city centre along Great Western Road. The shop will be located on your left after you pass Hillhead Street. Walking time: 11 minutes. Distance: 0.5 miles

BUS
Heading out of the city (toward Byres Rd) you can catch the following buses to Hillhead Street:
66/N66 to Mountblow
20 to Drumchapel
10 to Balfron
118/118A to Duntoucher
The bus stop is located outside SPAR - only 5 shops down from the One World Shop.

Heading into the city you can catch the following buses to Cecil Street:
66 to Calderwood
20 to East Kilbride
914 to Glasgow
916 to Glasgow
926 to Glasgow
976 to Glasgow
The bus stop is located outside the shop, on the opposite side of the road.

DRIVING
From the M8 exit at junction 18 on to Great Western Road, towards Byres Rd. The shop will be located on your left. Parking is available between 9.30am and 4.30pm at the rate of 10p per 1/2 hour.
