The quirky asymmetrical design of these fine silver earrings make them real head turners.
These earrings are made by the Karen Hill Tribe who are subsistence farmers in remote Northern Thailand and who have a strong spiritual connection with their land and nature in general, often reflected in the traditional designs in their jewellery. The silversmithing can be fitted in around the needs of their farming and ensures that this valuable and skillful tradition is kept alive.
Fine Thai silver is 99.9% pure, in contrast with sterling silver at 92.5% purity, and this means that it tarnishes less quickly and requires less regular polishing to retain its appeal.
Earring hooks are sterling silver.
