Bee friendly and grow this mix of wild flowers which are recommended by the Bumblebee Conservation Trust - Birdsfoot Trefoil, Foxglove, Red Clover, Viper's Bugloss and Wild Marjoram.
Simply scatter the clay seedballs on top of soil or compost where they are to flower and rain or hand watering will do the rest. The protective clay casing breaks down with sufficient moisture and releases the compost and seeds, nutrients and minerals to promote growth, and chilli powder to deter ants and slugs.
Each clay ball contains 50 seeds and there are 20 balls per tin. Use 20 balls per square metre for a good garden display or 3-5 balls in a medium sized pot.
Sew in spring or autumn - seedlings sprout in 4-6 weeks.
Birdsfoot Trefoil (Lotus corniculatus)
Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea)
Red Clover (Trifolium pretense)
Viper's Bugloss (Echium vulgare)
Wild Marjoram (Origanum vulgare)
