Festival Events

There's been a lot of hammering and building going on around the site at CEMC while Greenside Venues turn it into two show spaces. The Lime Studio and Emerald Theatre and now being prepared for the thousands of visitors about to descend upon the city in the next few weeks.

One World Tea Tent

In keeping with the last few years, we are running our pop-up cafe outside the shop for the duration of the Festival. Providing hot and cold drinks, and snacks to the Greenside punters, staff, performers and all others who may be passing by. The Well Cafe will also be open for hot drinks and hot meals, but we hope to ease some of the strain they endure during the Edinburgh Festival by offering a fast takeaway service by their side.

The One World Tea Tent will be open 7 days

Thursday 4th August - Sunday 28th August

10am - 5pm

Fair & Ethical Trade on the Fringe

HandUp Media bring an ethical side into the main buzz of the Edinburgh Festival with their bi-annual market which is running in two locations this year.

The first run of stalls starts Sunday 7th August until Saturday 13th August in the usual Castle Street pitch before moving to a new location.

Fair-Trade-City-Group-ToteFrom Sunday 14th August, the market will be found on top of Waverley Mall for two more weeks until Saturday 27th August when it will then come to a close.

We will be helping to run the Edinburgh Fairtrade City stall and launching an exciting new range of Edinburgh Loves Fairtrade tote bags and t-shirts. One World Shop will be there from Thursday 11th - Saturday 13th August and we will have some gorgeous brand new products to show you so drop by for a look!
