A beautifully ethical bar which is just right as a gift for someone you love. This organic and fair trade 65% dark chocolate bar is infused with the oil from cold pressed ripe orange peel, giving it a gorgeously light, zesty flavour.
The cocoa is from Acopagro, El Quinacho, Cacvra and Oro Verde in Peru and Fundopo/Yacao in The Dominican Republic. The cane sugar is from Asocace in Paraguay and Apoya in Costa Rica, and the Bourbon vanilla is from Komam and Cooppvm in Madagascar.
As well as paying the cocoa farmer 10% to 25% extra for their beans, this supplier runs all of their business as ethically as possible - they minimise shipping and use FSC certified paper for their wrappers, plus green packing material. They also support reforestation. All of the ingredients are organic certified, 99% of them are fairly traded with 100% traceability to source.
