Fairtrade in Schools

Is your school keen to be involved with fair trade?

Learning about fair trade is an excellent way to encourage students to develop an understanding of their role as a world citizen and to address Global Citizenship. It also helps them to develop respect for diversity and understand social injustice.

Our range of services is suitable for all age groups, from Nursery to University level and tailored to suit your needs. We can also provide tea and coffee for the staff room.

We provide tasty products like chocolate bars and flapjacks, as well as fun and practical pocket-money gifts such as painted fans, newspaper pencils and panpipes. All made by fair trade producer groups around the world.

Tuckshops & Stalls

Whether it’s a weekly tuckshop, a stall at your Christmas Fair or Parents Evening we can provide you with a range of items to re-sell and educate customers with.

Students are encouraged to learn the background of our products, and we can provide you with fact sheets and stories about some of our most popular items. Speaking to customers about the impact of buying fair trade products, while learning about money handling and organisational skills are just some of the benefits for students to run their own stall or tuckshop.

Resources for Schools

We are unfortunately no longer able to provide workshops or visits to schools. We recommend contacting your local fair trade community regarding this service. If you’re in Scotland, the Scottish Fair Trade Forum are a great point of contact for assistance: http://www.scottishfairtradeforum.org.uk/

These two sites are our favourite for finding fair trade shops and organisations all over the UK, and for great resources that schools can use to create their own Fair Trade projects suitable for all ages.
