A beautifully colourful, fair trade, handmade paper garland from Nepal featuring butterflies on gold thread, separated by golden beads.
The co-operative who makes these garlands recycles waste materials such as cotton rags, waste paper and agriculture waste (banana fibres, straw and water hyacinth). The production process is environmentally friendly and paper drying is based on sunlight.
Via links set up by the One World Shop with Edinburgh College of Art the co-operative's ornaments often feature contemporary designs.
