This scrumptious, fine cut marmalade contains slivers of peel from the tangy organic Seville oranges it is made from, along with fairly traded raw organic sugar from Paraguay. It is just what your toast has been crying out for.
The organic, fair trade sugar comes from Otisa Sugar Mill in Paraguay. Co-op farmers are paid by the bundles of sugar cane they sell to Otisa. They take the bundles by ox-cart to a central area where they help each other to transfer the bundles onto a truck hired from Otisa.
This work is incredibly hard and part of the fair trade premium will be used to buy a piece of land where the farmers can construct a crane-like device to do it for them. All the local farmers will be able to use this, not just those who are members of the co-operative.
Ingredients: Organic Sugar, Organic Seville Oranges, Gelling Agent: Pectin, Acidity Regulator: Citric Acid. Prepared with 25g of fruit per 100g.
