Scatter some of these seedballs in autumn and grow yourself some beautiful wild red poppies.
Simply scatter the clay seedballs on top of soil or compost where they are to flower and rain or hand watering will do the rest. The protective clay casing breaks down with sufficient moisture and releases the compost and seeds, nutrients and minerals to promote growth, and chilli powder to deter ants and slugs.
Each clay ball contains 100 seeds and there are 20 balls per tin. Use 20 balls per square metre for a good garden display or 3-5 balls in a medium sized pot.
Best scattered in autumn - seedlings sprout in 4-6 weeks.Common poppy (Papaver rhoeas)
