Grow your own wild flower meadow to encourage pollinators to your garden, window boxes or containers - this simply grown mix of all blue flowers, especially attractive to bees, includes Forget-me-not, Cornflower, Self Heal, Wild Clary and Meadow Cranesbill.
This all blue native wildflower mix has been especially chosen to attract bees, which respond well to blue and ultraviolet light - Cornflower, Forget-me-not, Meadow Cranesbill, Self Heal and Wild Clary.
Simply scatter the clay seedballs on top of soil or compost where they are to flower and rain or hand watering will do the rest. The protective clay casing breaks down with sufficient moisture and releases the compost and seeds, nutrients and minerals to promote growth, and chilli powder to deter ants and slugs. What could be easier?
Each clay ball contains 75 seeds and there are 20 balls per tin. Use 20 balls per square metre for a good garden display or 3-5 balls in a medium sized pot.
Scatter in spring or autumn - seedlings sprout in 4-6 weeks.
Cornflower (Centaurea cyanus)
Forget-me-not (Myosotis arvensis)
Meadow cranesbill (Geranium pratense)
Self heal (Prunella vulgaris)
Wild clary (Salvia verbenaca)
