The chunky shell of this fair trade Easter egg is made from smooth, thick milk chocolate with toffee and sea salt folded into it providing that delicious, addictive mix of sweet and savoury. It is beautifully presented in golden foil in a turquoise and gold box, uniquely decorated with traditional symbols from Ghana.
The cocoa for Divine chocolate is grown in the southern regions of Ghana by a farmers' co-operative called Kuapa Kokoo who own the company along with by the Fairtrade NGO Twin Trading. While Fairtrade ensures farmers receive a better deal for their cocoa and additional income to invest in their community, company ownership gives farmers a share of Divine’s profits and a stronger voice in the cocoa industry.
Ingredients: sugar, cocoa butter, skimmed milk powder, cocoa mass, butterscotch 10% ( sugar, glucose syrup, butterfat (milk), salt), butterfat (milk), sea salt, emulsifier: sunflower lecithin, vanilla. Cocoa solids: 38% minimum in chocolate; Milk solids: 16% minimum; all sugar, cocoa and vanilla traded in compliance with Fairtrade Standards. Total 79%
