This colourful combination of annuals and perennials was developed in collaboration with River of Flowers, an organisation which works to create and connect urban meadows across the globe.
To grow your urban meadow simply scatter the clay seedballs on top of soil or compost where they are to flower and rain or hand watering will do the rest. The protective clay casing breaks down with sufficient moisture and releases the compost and seeds, nutrients and minerals to promote growth, and chilli powder to deter ants and slugs. What could be easier?
Each clay ball contains 30 seeds and there are 20 balls per tin. Use 20 balls per square metre for a good garden display or 3-5 balls in a medium sized pot.
Scatter in spring or autumn - seedlings sprout in 4-6 weeks.
